Wedding at Burgh Island Hotel

Jakki & Sheila’s wedding took place at the stunning and iconic Burgh Island Hotel. It was an absolute honour to be part of such a special weekend for Jakki & Sheila. Having filmed their Civil Partnership 9 years to the day, Jakki & Sheila decided to convert their civil partnership into a marriage. After realising that there were restrictions to the process, Jakki & Sheila started a petition and along with 42,000 signatures successfully changed the law for civil partnership conversion to marriage, so that civil partners wanting to convert can have a wedding & a marriage certificate…..and did they celebrate!! Over a weekend of festivities including a Murder Mystery Dinner, a medley of musicians and performers and a fireworks display that would rival the London New Year celebrations, Jakki & Sheila celebrated with their family and friends as wife and wife!

Osmaston Park Wedding

Jonathan & Eniko’s wedding reception took place at the stunning setting of Osmaston Park, Derbyshire. The marriage ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Ian Whitehead with his truly unique style, in the glorious Church of St Mary, Tutbury. During the marriage ceremony the Friday Voices, a Staffordshire based choir, provided some exceptional and moving performances which even had a few of the congregation in tears. It was great working alongside  the talented Jon of Jon Thorne Photography again as we managed to capture some great footage of the bride and groom amonst the backdrop of Osmaston Park. Eniko, of Hungarian descent, managed to incorporate a few Hungarian traditions throughout the day and one tradition of the drinking of the palinka went down really well!

Aaron & Maria’s Greek Wedding Reception

Aaron & Maria were married in the beautiful Greek Orthodox Church of St Spyridon, Great Yarmouth. The reception was held at The Ocean Rooms, Gorleston-on-Sea. Starting off with the traditional ‘dressing’ of the bride, celebrated with the attendance of close family and friends, the day is steeped with tradition and symbolism. Part of the ‘dressing’ had Maria writing all her bridesmaids names on the sole of her shoe, one tradition I haven’t seen for a long while. After the Greek Orthodox Marriage Ceremony the bride and groom were welcomed by a huge crowd and celebrated the night away with feasting, drinking and loads of dancing! It’s always great seeing previous clients of mine at weddings and especially so in the small but high-spirited Greek Community at Great Yarmouth.
