Chinese Wedding at Peckforton Castle

Sonia & Vincent were married at the stunning setting of Peckforton Castle. The marriage ceremony took place in the magnificent Great Hall which was gloriously styled by Ian Lloyd Events. The whole day had a strong chinese theme with many family and guests travelling from China to be part of the bride and groom’s special day.

Osmaston Park Wedding

Jonathan & Eniko’s wedding reception took place at the stunning setting of Osmaston Park, Derbyshire. The marriage ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Ian Whitehead with his truly unique style, in the glorious Church of St Mary, Tutbury. During the marriage ceremony the Friday Voices, a Staffordshire based choir, provided some exceptional and moving performances which even had a few of the congregation in tears. It was great working alongside  the talented Jon of Jon Thorne Photography again as we managed to capture some great footage of the bride and groom amonst the backdrop of Osmaston Park. Eniko, of Hungarian descent, managed to incorporate a few Hungarian traditions throughout the day and one tradition of the drinking of the palinka went down really well!

Hengrave Hall Wedding

Sam & Sarah were married at the enchanting Hengrave Hall, a spectacular Tudor Manor House set within acres of beautiful gardens in the Suffolk County. The marriage ceremony took place a short stroll from the main house in the glorious setting of the church of St John Lateran. Sarah, the bride, worked continuous for several months prior to the wedding creating many of the decorations that adorned the house and rooms which added a truly unique touch to the day.

Aaron & Maria’s Greek Wedding Reception

Aaron & Maria were married in the beautiful Greek Orthodox Church of St Spyridon, Great Yarmouth. The reception was held at The Ocean Rooms, Gorleston-on-Sea. Starting off with the traditional ‘dressing’ of the bride, celebrated with the attendance of close family and friends, the day is steeped with tradition and symbolism. Part of the ‘dressing’ had Maria writing all her bridesmaids names on the sole of her shoe, one tradition I haven’t seen for a long while. After the Greek Orthodox Marriage Ceremony the bride and groom were welcomed by a huge crowd and celebrated the night away with feasting, drinking and loads of dancing! It’s always great seeing previous clients of mine at weddings and especially so in the small but high-spirited Greek Community at Great Yarmouth.

After their Civil Ceremony they had a small Persian Marriage Ceremony in front of a sofreh of exotic foods and elaborate decorations. The evening reception also included the ‘Persian Knife Dance’ which involves the groom paying various dancers in return for the cake knife.
